Gaming Sunday: The 3rd Birthday (JPN)

the Main Character of T3B

Introduction
This is the latest product of Square Enix and the latest entry in to the Parasite Eve saga. Whether or not this is a spin-off or an actual part of the Parasite Eve series, the developers have either not decided or will not tell us about it. Either way, The 3rd Birthday is an exciting game that can help, however small, regenerate the revenue that Square Enix has lost over Final Fantasy 14. Seriously, Square Enix should stick to making games on the PSP, I mean when was the last time a Square Enix PSP game bombed?

Those interested in a first look at the game and some spoilers can get a copy of the JPN version of the game. For those who rather wait, the US and EUR versions of T3B will be hitting stores Q1 next year.

WARNING! The following contains drastic spoilers. Yea, this is the first game I put up a spoiler tag, because this is the first game whose story actually surprised me...

Gaming Sundays: FIFA 11 (PSP)

Introduction
This game surely needs no sort of introduction. Come on, the mention of FIFA should bring your little brains to the conclusion that this game is about football. Or soccer if you would. If if doesn't, you should find a wall and face it for 10 minutes and think about where you have spend the last 10 years of your life at.

Duodecim News from Famitsu

Bleach 427, Naruto 517, Chopperman 1

No One Piece this week, instead we get Chopperman from the newly launched Saikyo Jump, also published by the same company as Shonen Jump. No worries though, Chopperman is a different series featuring One Piece Characters, so One Piece is still on Shonen Jump.

Newsflash: Vaan in Duodecim, Aya as Maid

The next Dissidia [012]: Final Fantasy Character has been revealed. It's none other than the pretty much known Vaan. I mean, come on, everyone knows he's gonna be in it. He was the main character in Final Fantasy 12, and his voice actors, yes actorS, both english and japanese, have long since hinted that he is going to be in this game. I wonder how many Balthier fans and Ashe fans are gonna weep and moaned. It's widely agreed upon that Vaan is not in the very least a very much liked character.

Gaming Sundays: PES 2011 (PSP)

Introduction
I suppose the Pro Evolution Soccer (PES) series needs no introduction. Original known as Winning Eleven, PES has always been a strong contender against the other well known football game, FIFA. I decided to give PES a try, which I haven't touch since Winning Eleven 7, which was at friend's house. Also since most of my friends are football enthusiasts.

Girlfriend Dream? Dream Girlfriend?

No, this is not a dream about my girlfriend, because I do not have one. No, it ain't about my dream girl either. Rather, it was a dream about me having a girlfriend. Seriously. I don't know which one is more pathetic, the fact that I had the dream itself, or the fact that I woke up actually telling myself "please don't let that be just a dream" over and over.

Someone somewhere once said that dreams are part of our innermost desires and wishes. I wonder if that's true. But the thing is, I don't even know any girl in real life that even vaguely resembled the girl I was with in the dream. So who's that girl suppose to be? My own creation? My own imagination of my dream girl? Whatever it was, it was pretty freaky when I came to my sense and release I was telling myself "please don't let that be just a dream".

"Freaky"....

Yesterday, we were having Programming II class. A friend of mine sat next to me. Our CPUs were side by side. Anyways, we were happily playing Braaains while trying to do some parts of the assignment when a soft, silent melody came out of no where. Seriously, it's the kind of music who would probably hear in a haunted mansion or a ballroom dance. The thing was, we both had our computers muted, and the seat next to my friend was empty, and the guy next to me was typing codes diligently. We were like "Wtf?!!".

Gaming Sundays: DJ Max Portable 3

Introduction
Yup, I'm doing DJ Max Portable 3 this week. The only time I've actually liked games like DJ Max Portable 3 was when playing Tap Tap Revenge 3 on an iPhone. And possibly Rock Band Unplugged. I wasn't really interested in Beats and Patapon, maybe it's just me, but smashing buttons to beats aren't all that captivating. The reason I decided to play this was due to the unlockable wallpapers and MVs. Without further ado, let us continue.

E.Maths Test 2: The Aftermath

Epic Title for a not-so-Epic Post.

A not-so-long, long time ago, in a not-so-distant land. A young boy had been studying for weeks in hopes of passing defeating the terrible dread, known as E.Maths Test 2, the spawn of E.Maths Test 1. To achieve this, the young boy had trained by doing exercises everyday, almost. He learned by tackling Vectors and hitting Trigonometry. And of course, his instructor gave him the Essential Questions, and he redid the Essential Questions! everyday. The dreaded day came, and the boy reached the hall of E.Maths Test 2 early. He walked around to calm his nerves, and the time came. The boy tackled E.Maths Test 2, and possibly beat it down badly, though the boy definitely did not defeat E.Maths Test 2. After an hour, the boy decided to leave the hall and write his experience in a blog post.

Naruto 515, Bleach 425, One Piece 603

Finally, we get to see all three this week. Hooray!!! I'll be trying to keep this post short as I have a test tomorrow, so don't be disappointed.

Gaming Sundays: God of War: Ghost of Sparta

Kratos, Ghost of Sparta

Introduction
God of War: Ghost of Sparta is technologically marvel for a PSP game. Graphics are comparable to PS2 games, albeit it leads to a short game. It's due for a release on November 2, but I've already finished it, due to a leak. Despite it's name, Ghost of Sparta does not deal with how Kratos obtained the title. Instead, the game is set between God of War 1 and God of War 2, just as Chain of Olympus was set before God of War 1. I guess it might be safe to say that if another PSP God of War comes out, it will be set before God of War 3.

Gaming Sundays: 3rd Birthday

Aya Brea is one hot protagonist

Introduction
This is another Square Enix game for PSP that I'm looking forward to. The style of characters might look familiar, because they are designed by Tetsuya Nomura, the Character Designer of most recent Final Fantasy such as 13 and 10. 3rd Birthday is the 3rd game in the Parasite Eve but is not a sequel. This is a sort of prelude to Parasite Eve 3 as the board decides whether it is profitable to make a Parasite Eve 3, possibly for PS3. This game is scheduled to be released on 22 December 2010 in Japan, and is slated for a Q1 release for North America.

Dissidia Duodecim Dreams 2

Theres really no other I can put up for now....

I had a dream again, and this one made me so happy I woke up with a stupid grin. I wished I hadn't wake up at all. Glad I chose to go back to sleep when I first woke up at around 9, otherwise I wouldn't have this dream. Yea, I woke up at 11 today, so it ain't that long of a dream. You might ask, why share with us your dream? Well, first off, I feel its rather interesting, and I have stated in my very first post that this blog also serves as a sort of record for my life, so yeah.

Anyway, I was dreaming that I was playing the game on Christmas...woohoo, apparently it was released on December 19th. I wonder where the heck I got this date. But it's quite possible that it will be released in December since the North American version is due for a release in Q1 2011. So who knows? The first thing that came to mind when I play it was, the developers did a good job by changing the menus art and style so that it doesn't feel like the last Dissidia. The menus are way different, especially the character selection menu, where the first thing that came to mind when I reflected on it (after I woke up) was it felt more like generic fighting games as compared to the original Dissidia. In my dream, the characters are represented by the icons that are usually present when they fight (the circular one). Another thing I really want to see implemented is the ability to change costumes without accessing the Customization menu, especially with 3 costumes now.

Disappointment

No, this isnt me...

I'm really a mess this semester. Partly because I am not good in the subjects I take, and partly because I feel under motivated. I begin to question myself, what good is 4 HDs? What good is CGPA 4.0? Isn't it in the very end just a number? Sure, you might find jobs much easier, but in the end aren't you still doing a job? Still sweating and bleeding for that thing called money? I try to ignore this questions as much as I can, thinking to myself, hey, just do your best for now and hope for a better future.

Gaming Sundays: Final Fantasy IX

US Cover of FFIX

Some loyal readers might have realized that this week's Gaming Sunday is actually posted on a Wednesday. This is due to the fact that I caught a cold. No, flu really. Sore throat, coughing, and all the others packed into one. The only thing absent was fever. Now that I'm back, I decided to write it, since I did after all reserve a post on Sunday.

Some of you might think, what? Final Fantasy IX? This game is ancient. While it is ancient, I just finished the game last Saturday, so I think it deserves a place here. I actually started a Final Fantasy gaming spree since a few months back, in July to be precise. I played them at first so that I can find some skills to be put into a Warcraft III map I was making based on Dissidia. When the map did not turn out well, I played it to learn how RPGs run while making a game with RPG Maker VX, while the project is still running, it's pace is very, VERY slow, since all members are drowned in assignments and tests. Now, I'm playing FFs to "celebrate" the arrival to Dissidia [012] Duodecim in Spring 2011.

Dissidia Duodecim Dreams

While waiting for the video processing to finish, which has taken me the entire afternoon, and this is my 3rd retry, let me entertain you with an odd dream of mine. Well, with all the hype about Dissidia Duodecim and my Programming II test, some sort of odd dream is bound to show up sooner than later.

Some of you might know from the previous blog that I'm a weird dreamer. Seriously, most of my dreams are weird and mess up, and some are very deja-vu-ish. There was one time I dreamt about my aunt carrying my cousin and walking across the road. Bamp, it happened. But considering the percentage of happening, it might just be entirely coincidental. Whatever...

Brief Break from Brief Break

I was going to stop blogging for the entire week, due to the two tests Im having at each end of the week. One on Monday, and one on Friday. But since I have some spare time, I thought, hey, why not do some blogging, and so here I am, taking a brief break from my brief break.

Monday was Engineering Maths A, which I totally dreaded, which in turn made me study hard, which never happened since SPM, wait...no, since PMR. I actually took my afternoons, yup, afternoons, to study. I usually hate studying in the afternoon. Why? It's too warm, and the bed is too tempting. So, what I did was, I blasted myself with the fan, and pampered myself with cold drinks. And ya, I prayed real hard.

Brief Break

This blog is taking a brief break, for a bit more than 1 week for me to gather information  prepare for my tests next week. Initially, I didn't want to take a break, but my inability to learn and the obstacle known as Engineering Maths A forced me to take serious action. Or else, I'm likely to fail. So until then, see ya.

Runny Nose

Having a runny nose today. Urgh. Couldn't concentrate in first class. The lecturer was briefing us about our 2nd assignment (yes, it was just last week we finished our first), when my nose started jogging. Before long, when the lecturer was showing us some tricks to photoshop, my nose was running. By second class, thankfully I finished my lab exercise pretty quickly, in like 15 minutes (yup, I was doing it when the lecturer was up there explaining a new syntax/code/watever). Then when the lecturer came checking my work, my nose started sprinting and tears came out of my right eye. Yup, only my right eye. The lecturer was saying that I cried because the question was too easy =_=.

Gaming Sundays: Upcoming FF Games

This few year(s), there seems to be an unusually large amount of Final Fantasy Games that are going to be produced. 2 of the 3 part Fabula Nova Crystallis, a sequel to the 2008 fighting game and a new MMORPG. All these are FF titles alone, seems like Square Enix is on a row, with the recently released Kingdom Hearts:Birth by Sleep and the upcoming 3rd Birthday, Square Enix is, I must say, busy.

One Piece 598: Two Years Later

One Piece 598: 2 Years Later

Seems like all the Straw Hats have gathered at Sabaody, though they haven't exactly reunited. We have yet to see Zoro and Franky. Just a brief run-through, Luffy leaves for Sabaody, bidding farewell to Hancock. Seems like he ended up finishing his training, which would include Haki, half a year earlier. He also made some friends with his food supply. Everyone else seems also to have grown up in one way or another. I'll do a comparison of appearance towards the end of the post, so stay tuned.

Assignment Deadlines

Yippee, oral presentation is over. That docks off one assignment from my very long list of school related "stress". Boo...I did pretty badly in the presentation. I was under the minimum time and struggled with a few words along the way. Worst still, my slides lack the luster found in other people's slides. To be blunt, it is bland. Just words, a few graphs and nothing else. Though I'm not sure what the lecturer's stand on slides are. It would seem that the slides need to be interesting, but not overly so that it is distracting. So I do know what to make of it.

Monday Blues

It's bad enough to get up early on Monday mornings, you have a long week ahead. Filled with due dates for assignments and more assignments coming soon. Your schedule is fully pack 24 hours round, thankfully it includes some entertainment. You have to meet some deadlines, push yourself to do some stuff. What a long week.

Gaming Sundays: Modern Warfare 2

Game Cover. I think it's suppose to be Ramirez.

Introduction
A FPS war time game. I really can't find any more words to describe this. That's all there is to the simple introduction.

HELLOOOOOO WORLD!!!

Amateurs programmers from around the world will probably know what that means. Most message box we code will have to display that phrase. Kinda weird don't you think?

Anyway, let's kick start this blog with a introduction.

Hello, my name is -

Wait....no, not that kind...

Anyway, this blog is aimed to live my life to the fullest. How, I do not quite know yet. I just had an urge to start blogging again. What nice memories I used to have last time. This blog would also probably serve as a sorta record for my life...funny eh, but I like to come back to read my old posts when I'm on my death bed, so I can see what kinda crappy life I lived.

So anyway, this blogs gonna mainly run on a schedule sort of thing, with every thursday doing this, and every fridays doing that. The "doing that" part has not been really thought out yet. It'll come soon, I just know it...

Hope I have to motivation to continue this blog, God willing, and to post a lot of posts...

First Real Post coming right up.
