Gaming Sundays: God of War: Ghost of Sparta

Kratos, Ghost of Sparta

Introduction
God of War: Ghost of Sparta is technologically marvel for a PSP game. Graphics are comparable to PS2 games, albeit it leads to a short game. It's due for a release on November 2, but I've already finished it, due to a leak. Despite it's name, Ghost of Sparta does not deal with how Kratos obtained the title. Instead, the game is set between God of War 1 and God of War 2, just as Chain of Olympus was set before God of War 1. I guess it might be safe to say that if another PSP God of War comes out, it will be set before God of War 3.

Bleach 424, One Piece 602

Naruto on hiatus, why is it that whenever one manga resumes, the other guys on hiatus? Not too long ago, it was Naruto/Bleach, then Naruto/One Piece, now its Bleach/One Piece.

Gaming Sundays: 3rd Birthday

Aya Brea is one hot protagonist

Introduction
This is another Square Enix game for PSP that I'm looking forward to. The style of characters might look familiar, because they are designed by Tetsuya Nomura, the Character Designer of most recent Final Fantasy such as 13 and 10. 3rd Birthday is the 3rd game in the Parasite Eve but is not a sequel. This is a sort of prelude to Parasite Eve 3 as the board decides whether it is profitable to make a Parasite Eve 3, possibly for PS3. This game is scheduled to be released on 22 December 2010 in Japan, and is slated for a Q1 release for North America.

Dissidia Duodecim Dreams 2

Theres really no other I can put up for now....

I had a dream again, and this one made me so happy I woke up with a stupid grin. I wished I hadn't wake up at all. Glad I chose to go back to sleep when I first woke up at around 9, otherwise I wouldn't have this dream. Yea, I woke up at 11 today, so it ain't that long of a dream. You might ask, why share with us your dream? Well, first off, I feel its rather interesting, and I have stated in my very first post that this blog also serves as a sort of record for my life, so yeah.

Anyway, I was dreaming that I was playing the game on Christmas...woohoo, apparently it was released on December 19th. I wonder where the heck I got this date. But it's quite possible that it will be released in December since the North American version is due for a release in Q1 2011. So who knows? The first thing that came to mind when I play it was, the developers did a good job by changing the menus art and style so that it doesn't feel like the last Dissidia. The menus are way different, especially the character selection menu, where the first thing that came to mind when I reflected on it (after I woke up) was it felt more like generic fighting games as compared to the original Dissidia. In my dream, the characters are represented by the icons that are usually present when they fight (the circular one). Another thing I really want to see implemented is the ability to change costumes without accessing the Customization menu, especially with 3 costumes now.

Disappointment

No, this isnt me...

I'm really a mess this semester. Partly because I am not good in the subjects I take, and partly because I feel under motivated. I begin to question myself, what good is 4 HDs? What good is CGPA 4.0? Isn't it in the very end just a number? Sure, you might find jobs much easier, but in the end aren't you still doing a job? Still sweating and bleeding for that thing called money? I try to ignore this questions as much as I can, thinking to myself, hey, just do your best for now and hope for a better future.

Gaming Sundays: Final Fantasy IX

US Cover of FFIX

Some loyal readers might have realized that this week's Gaming Sunday is actually posted on a Wednesday. This is due to the fact that I caught a cold. No, flu really. Sore throat, coughing, and all the others packed into one. The only thing absent was fever. Now that I'm back, I decided to write it, since I did after all reserve a post on Sunday.

Some of you might think, what? Final Fantasy IX? This game is ancient. While it is ancient, I just finished the game last Saturday, so I think it deserves a place here. I actually started a Final Fantasy gaming spree since a few months back, in July to be precise. I played them at first so that I can find some skills to be put into a Warcraft III map I was making based on Dissidia. When the map did not turn out well, I played it to learn how RPGs run while making a game with RPG Maker VX, while the project is still running, it's pace is very, VERY slow, since all members are drowned in assignments and tests. Now, I'm playing FFs to "celebrate" the arrival to Dissidia [012] Duodecim in Spring 2011.

Dissidia Duodecim Dreams

While waiting for the video processing to finish, which has taken me the entire afternoon, and this is my 3rd retry, let me entertain you with an odd dream of mine. Well, with all the hype about Dissidia Duodecim and my Programming II test, some sort of odd dream is bound to show up sooner than later.

Some of you might know from the previous blog that I'm a weird dreamer. Seriously, most of my dreams are weird and mess up, and some are very deja-vu-ish. There was one time I dreamt about my aunt carrying my cousin and walking across the road. Bamp, it happened. But considering the percentage of happening, it might just be entirely coincidental. Whatever...

Brief Break from Brief Break

I was going to stop blogging for the entire week, due to the two tests Im having at each end of the week. One on Monday, and one on Friday. But since I have some spare time, I thought, hey, why not do some blogging, and so here I am, taking a brief break from my brief break.

Monday was Engineering Maths A, which I totally dreaded, which in turn made me study hard, which never happened since SPM, wait...no, since PMR. I actually took my afternoons, yup, afternoons, to study. I usually hate studying in the afternoon. Why? It's too warm, and the bed is too tempting. So, what I did was, I blasted myself with the fan, and pampered myself with cold drinks. And ya, I prayed real hard.

Brief Break

This blog is taking a brief break, for a bit more than 1 week for me to gather information  prepare for my tests next week. Initially, I didn't want to take a break, but my inability to learn and the obstacle known as Engineering Maths A forced me to take serious action. Or else, I'm likely to fail. So until then, see ya.

Runny Nose

Having a runny nose today. Urgh. Couldn't concentrate in first class. The lecturer was briefing us about our 2nd assignment (yes, it was just last week we finished our first), when my nose started jogging. Before long, when the lecturer was showing us some tricks to photoshop, my nose was running. By second class, thankfully I finished my lab exercise pretty quickly, in like 15 minutes (yup, I was doing it when the lecturer was up there explaining a new syntax/code/watever). Then when the lecturer came checking my work, my nose started sprinting and tears came out of my right eye. Yup, only my right eye. The lecturer was saying that I cried because the question was too easy =_=.

Gaming Sundays: Upcoming FF Games

This few year(s), there seems to be an unusually large amount of Final Fantasy Games that are going to be produced. 2 of the 3 part Fabula Nova Crystallis, a sequel to the 2008 fighting game and a new MMORPG. All these are FF titles alone, seems like Square Enix is on a row, with the recently released Kingdom Hearts:Birth by Sleep and the upcoming 3rd Birthday, Square Enix is, I must say, busy.

One Piece 598: Two Years Later

One Piece 598: 2 Years Later

Seems like all the Straw Hats have gathered at Sabaody, though they haven't exactly reunited. We have yet to see Zoro and Franky. Just a brief run-through, Luffy leaves for Sabaody, bidding farewell to Hancock. Seems like he ended up finishing his training, which would include Haki, half a year earlier. He also made some friends with his food supply. Everyone else seems also to have grown up in one way or another. I'll do a comparison of appearance towards the end of the post, so stay tuned.
