Countdown to Duodecim 1: Yuna, PSP Bundle and more.

Wee...woohoo...wow...Yuna has been officially confirmed to take part in the epic battle between Chaos and Cosmos this coming March! Let me take a breather. Anyways, welcome to our very first...erm...episode/chapter/post...on Countdown to Dissidia [012] Duodecim: Final Fantasy, or shortened to Countdown to Duodecim, really. This is the first of a few posts, which will occur once a week, until the launch of Duodecim in Japan on 3rd March. I will be rambling on about my thoughts on Duodecim, and talk about various updates, such as the inclusion of lovely summoner Yuna, and complain about other stuff, such as why Yuna is not a gunner. Without further ado, let us begin our very first Countdown to Duodecim.

If most of you have been following news on Duodecim, you'll probably know that Yuna was first revealed in the Jump Festa Trailer. That's where she first appeared. Or her feet did.

If this image doesn't appear, click to enlarge.

Well, new scans from Jump has shown some cool stuff about Yuna. She is a full summoner, summoning Bahamut, with what seems like Mega Flare, as a HP attack. She also summons Ixion and Shiva to do what seems like a combo Brave Attack. Wicked. Her Ex-Burst is Sending, which uses all her summons (barrage I presume), while her Ex-Mode is highly speculated to be Nirvana Equipped. Please, not another "insert ultimate weapon name" Equipped Ex Mode. Show some creativity Square Enix! Can't wait for her gameplay video, cant wait, cant wait!!!!

But I really have to say, don't like her artwork's face though, doesn't look much like her. I can put my finger on what exactly is the problem, but did first time I saw it, I was like, that's suppose to be Yuna?

Continuing on, sharp-eyed viewers might have noticed the small box where Tifa shows off her new outfit. It's a recolor in Amano-style but is not entirely faithful. Rest assure that it's not the 3rd alternate for her, but a downloadable content, acquirable only if you purchase a first print edition of Duodecim.

White Haired Amano style

Black Haired

I was seriously thinking if it had to be an Amano, it would kinda be like this:

Niteaura Photoshopped Version

But at least it's not the 3rd alternate, but a DLC, which means, we would probably get this:

Tifa's DLC is not first discovered on the magazine, in fact, it has been on the Internet for quite sometime, shown from this.

Which coupled with this:

Might be our first look at Duodecim's possible box art, complete with back page. Also, there is some sort of 5v5 system, although it looks to be somewhat like Tekken's 5v5. Not to mention, Square Enix has also announced the Duodecim's PSP Bundle look.

Hideous. That's all I can say really. Glad I didn't expect to get one, or I would be seriously disappointed. I mean, Dissidia's one was much more...er...pleasing to the eye.

Something about having Cosmos and Chaos in front doesn't sit well with me.

Anyways, till next time, have a pleasant day or night, depending on when you are reading this post.
